Future newsrooms: How global publishers are adapting to AI and audience change
South Africa, June 2 -- The Future Newsrooms Study 2026 draws on survey responses from 448 newsroom leaders across 86 countries, as well as interviews with newsroom strategists, editors, executives and AI leaders from across the global news industry.
The report examines how publishers are redefining newsroom strategy and organisational design as the industry moves from a model centred on scale and distribution towards one increasingly shaped by audience relationships, community and distinctive journalism.
