New Delhi, March 19 -- Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has signed a $3 billion long-term agreement with South Korea's Samsung C&T Corporation for the supply of green ammonia, marking one of the largest deals in the global clean fuels space. The 15-year Supply and Purchase Agreement (SPA) is expected to commence deliveries from the second half of FY2029, signaling strong long-term demand for low-carbon fuels.

Green ammonia, produced using renewable energy, is emerging as a key enabler in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors such as fertilizers, shipping, and heavy industry.
