New Delhi, July 23 -- Israel is taking a major step toward strengthening its position in the global quantum technology race. The Israel Innovation Authority has announced funding of up to NIS 100 million, approximately $33 million, to establish a national quantum computing research and development center.

The planned facility will provide companies, startups, researchers, and academic institutions with access to advanced quantum computing infrastructure without requiring them to invest in expensive proprietary systems.
