Within weeks, Lupin's recall of more than 2.5 million bottles of an ophthalmic product in the United States, Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration's action against Cadila Pharmaceuticals' Aciloc products, and the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation's (CDSCO) latest quality alerts have underscored the growing focus on contamination, medication errors and post-market surveillance.
