India, Oct. 22 -- Appasamy Associates, a Warburg Pincus-backed global surgical ophthalmology manufacturer headquartered in Chennai, has announced the acquisition of RUCK, a German manufacturer of ophthalmic surgical products and systems.

RUCK brings more than four decades of experience in ophthalmic surgery. Its portfolio includes the Pentasys, Qube and Qube Pro systems for cataract and vitreoretinal procedures.
