India, Jan. 10 -- The Department of Engineering Design, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BMEC Imaging, to establish the Medical Design and Imaging Laboratory, strengthening industry-academia collaboration in medical technology.The partnership will focus on joint research, product development and skill-building initiatives in medical imaging, oncology and allied healthcare technologies, addressing critical gaps in India's MedTech ecosystem.

It will further strengthen the Department's B.Tech + M.Tech Dual Degree in Biomedical Design, along with MS (by Research) and doctoral programmes, by enabling students and researchers to work on real-world healthcare challenges.BMEC Imag...
