India, July 15 -- Dr Karthik Narayan, Founder and Managing Director, Athulya Senior Care, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Committee on Senior Care for the 2026-27 term, effective from July 2026.

Dr Narayan, a medical doctor trained in geriatrics, started Athulya Senior Care in 2017. He finished a business course in the US, lived there for 10 years, and worked in a hospital's geriatrics department before returning to Chennai. The appointment comes at a pivotal time for India's senior care ecosystem as the country undergoes one of the world's fastest demographic transitions.
