BDR Pharma launches new injectable to treat drug resistant infections
India, June 24 -- Mumbai-based BDR Pharmaceuticals International has announced the launch of XATRONEM-AV (Aztreonam + Avibactam Injection) 2g, an advanced antibacterial therapy developed for the treatment of serious infections caused by multidrug-resistant (MDR) Gram-negative bacteria.
The launch comes at a time when antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is emerging as one of the most pressing global healthcare challenges. Drug-resistant infections are estimated to directly cause nearly 1.9 million deaths annually and are associated with more than 8.2 million deaths worldwide every year.
