India, Oct. 8 -- Alcon has announced the launch of Clareon(R) PanOptix(R) Pro intraocular lens (IOL) for cataract patients in India. PanOptix Pro leverages proprietary ENLIGHTEN(R) NXT Optical technology which delivers the lowest light scatter and highest reported light utilisation of any trifocal IOL.

PanOptix Pro provides an unprecedented 94% light utilisation, compared to a theoretical maximum utilisation of 96% for diffractive optics. These enhancements also provide more uninterrupted light distribution from distance to near, and a 16% increase in optical image contrast between distance and intermediate.
