Dhaka, March 22 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's wife Zubaida Rahman has left Dhaka for London, a day after Eid-ul-Fitr.

She boarded Bangladesh Biman Airlines' BG-201 flight at Shahjalal International Airport around 8:30am on Sunday, said the airline authorities.

The flight is scheduled to arrive at London's Heathrow Airport around 9pm Bangladesh time, they added.

BNP media cell officials said Zubaida will stay there for around 10 days.

The couple had been in exile in London for 17 years before their return to Dhaka in a historic homecoming in late 2025.

Zubaida worked as a cardiologist in a London hospital, and is travelling to the UK to attend a medical training course.
