Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- Former chief advisor Muhammad Yunus has vacated the State Guest House Jamuna after living there for nearly 18 months.

He left the residence around 3:15pm on Saturday, Sub Inspector Mizanur Rahman, who was in charge of his security, told bdnews24.com.

"We had instructions that he would leave Jamuna at 3pm. He departed around 3:15pm," the officer said.

Ramna Division Deputy Commissioner Masud Alam also confirmed Yunus's departure.

Before his exit, a delegation representing Tarique Rahman paid a courtesy call to the Nobel laureate, according to the Prime Minister's Press Wing.
