Dhaka, May 31 -- The United States has reversed its suspension of immigrant visa processing for citizens of Bangladesh and 74 other countries.

On Sunday, the US Embassy in Dhaka confirmed that all categories of immigrant visas will now be processed within two working days.

As part of an earlier policy change, Washington had suspended immigrant visa issuance for nationals of Bangladesh and 74 other countries from Jan 21 this year, citing a review of immigration rules affecting countries whose nationals were assessed to rely more heavily on US public assistance.
