Dhaka, March 27 -- UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has reaffirmed the organisation's unwavering support and solidarity with Bangladesh during a meeting with Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman in New York.

During the meeting at UN Headquarters, the secretary-general extended his congratulations to the newly formed government and highly commended the country for its "humanitarian leadership and generosity in sheltering forcibly displaced Rohingya people", the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations said in a statement.
