Dhaka, March 27 -- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two shooters allegedly involved in the murder of Jubo Dal leader Golam Kibria in Dhaka's Pallabi.

According to RAB, the two suspects had been on the run since the incident and recently came to Dhaka to prepare documents to leave the country.

Acting on a tip-off, RAB arrested Md Rashed alias Lopan, 35, described as a shooter who took part in the "Kibria killing mission," from the Rupnagar Eastern Housing area around midnight on Thursday. Md Jahangir Hossain alias Kallu, 40, was arrested from Diabari in Uttara.

Based on information provided by Lopen, a foreign-made revolver and three rounds of bullets used in the murder were recovered.
