Dhaka, June 6 -- A crash on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Cumilla's Chauddagram Upazila has left two men dead after their speeding motorcycle slammed into a stationary bus.

The accident occurred around 8am near Shufua, said Ruhul Amin, chief of the Mia Bazar Highway Crossing Police Outpost.

The identities of the dead could not be confirmed immediately.

Officer Amin said the motorcycle, travelling at high speed, crashed into the back of a Madina Paribahan bus that was parked along the highway, killing both riders on the spot.

Police reached the scene after being informed and recovered the bodies, later sending them to the police station.

Efforts are under way to identify the victims.
