Two killed as ambulance carrying body home crashes in Narail
Dhaka, June 3 -- A woman has been killed along with an ambulance driver in a road crash in Narail while returning home with her husband's body from a hospital in Dhaka.
Four other people have been injured in the collision.
On Wednesday, around 9am, the ambulance collided head-on with a bus near Badshar Garage on the Narail-Kalna Highway, said Ajay Kumar Kundu, chief of Narail Sadar Police Station.
The dead were identified as Jahanara Begum, 45, wife of Ismail Hossain of Mahidia village in Jashore, and ambulance driver Akbar Hossain, 32, from Lakshmipur.
Officer Ajay said Ismail, father of police Sub-Inspector Abu Taher, died at Rajarbagh's Central Police Hospital early in the morning.
