Bangladesh, July 28 -- A college boundary wall has collapsed onto people waiting to buy subsidised Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) goods in Dhaka's Mirpur-2, killing two people and injuring six others.

The wall of Mirpur University College collapsed at around 1:30pm on Tuesday, police said.

One of the dead has been identified as Nasima Begum, a resident of Janata Housing.

The other, a man believed to be around 40, has yet to be identified.

Hafizur Rahman, chief of Mirpur Model Police Station, told bdnews24.com that the college's rear boundary wall suddenly gave way around 1:26pm.

Eight people were trapped under the debris when the wall collapsed onto those waiting in line to buy TCB products, he said.
