Dhaka, April 23 -- The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in two districts, expanding a series of administrative reshuffles across Bangladesh.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued two separate orders on Wednesday, appointing Md Mazharul Islam, director at the Department of Narcotics Control, as the DC and district magistrate of Faridpur, while Md Farida Yesmin, a deputy secretary at the ministry, has been posted to Sherpur in the same role.
According to the orders, the appointments will take immediate effect in the public interest.
