Dhaka, March 24 -- The government has acted against four out of seven private clinics, diagnostic centres and blood banks in the capital's Mohammadpur after inspections found "irregularities" in them.
Two teams from the Hospital and Clinic Unit of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) raided the healthcare facilities at Muktijoddha Tower-1 near College Gate on Tuesday.
Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan, deputy chief information officer of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, told bdnews24.com they shut down two of facilities and partially closed two others.
"The rest were warned for various irregularities and inconsistencies," he said.
