Dhaka, March 20 -- Turag police have recorded a case over the death of a 21-year-old woman who fell from a battery-run rickshaw during a snatching attempt in Dhaka's Uttara.

The case was registered on Friday afternoon, more than 24 hours after the incident occurred near the Uttara South Metro Station.

Limon Hossain, the husband of victim Mukta Akter, filed the case against three to four unidentified individuals.

The incident took place around 9:30am on Thursday.

Mukta, a resident of Dakshinkhan's Faidabad, was travelling by rickshaw when muggers in a private car snatched her bag.

Their forceful tug caused her to fall onto the road, resulting in severe head injuries.
