Bangladesh, Aug. 7 -- Four derailed carriages of the Jamalpur Commuter train have been recovered in Mymensingh's Gafargaon, allowing train service on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route to resume after seven and a half hours.

A five-member committee has been announced to investigate the accident.

The rescue train was able to recover the carriages around 4pm on Friday, said Mymensingh Railway Senior Assistant Executive Engineer Nazmul Hasan.

The carriages on the Dhaka-bound Jamalpur commuter train had derailed before it entered Gafargaon Railway Station around 9am.
