Dhaka, June 17 -- A reckless batting display has left Bangladesh to defend a total of 132 in the first T20 International against Australia in Chattogram.

The Tigers won the toss and opted to bat, tearing out the gates early to find a few early boundaries on Wednesday.

But the swift start ran aground when Tanzid Hasan (10) slashed at a delivery from pacer Spencer Johnson, lofting it to Bartlett in the field.

A couple of overs later, Tanzid was joined by his opening partner Saif Hassan (20), who attempted a slog sweep but only managed a leading edge to Matt Renshaw at mid-off.

The wickets fell at a steady clip after that, with the occasional boundary breaking up the careless shot selection.
