Dhaka, April 15 -- Chittagong Port has received fresh shipments of jet fuel and diesel as Bangladesh moves to shore up energy supplies amid ongoing market pressure.
Three vessels carrying refined petroleum products docked at the port amid a supply strain triggered by conflict in the Middle East, the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) said Wednesday.
According to BPC, the ships entered the port waters on Tuesday morning and night.
The vessel "MT Great Princess", carrying 11,000 tonnes of jet fuel from Singapore, reached the Dolphin Jetty, where unloading is currently under way.
Another vessel, "MT Lucia", arrived at the outer anchorage on Tuesday night with 34,000 tonnes of refined diesel.
