Dhaka, March 22 -- A pickup truck has hit a motorcycle carrying three friends in Kishoreganj's Kuliarchar Upazila, leaving two dead and the other injured.

The accident occurred on Sunday along the Bhairab-Kishoreganj regional highway, said Bhairab Highway Police Outpost chief Sumon Kumar Chowdhury.

The dead are Bijoy, 18, identified with a single name, and his friend Jabir Hossain, 18, both residents of Dariakandi of the Upazila.

The wounded individual, yet to be identified, was sent to Jahurul Islam Medical College Hospital in Bajitpur.

Officer Sumon said the three friends went out for a ride in the afternoon, when an oncoming pickup van hit the motorcycle.
