Dhaka, April 29 -- Three people, including a child, have been killed and 11 others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in Kurigram's Nageshwari.

The accident occurred around 11pm on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of two men, including the microbus driver and a young girl.

Nageshwari Police chief Abdullah Hil Zaman said the bodies of the dead have been recovered and the injured have been hospitalised.

Citing local residents, police said the head-on collision took place in the Basherthol area of Beparihat under Sontashpur Union in Nageshwari.

The crash involved a stone-laden truck travelling from Bhurungamari towards Kurigram and the oncoming microbus.
