More than 50 years later, there is a renewed interest in the moon, its minerals and how it can play a role in the days ahead of space exploration.

However, this time, the moon drive is not just inspired by scientific impulse, but to a large extent, part of an elaborate plan to set up a base on the moon which can act: 1. As a station for reaching out to the stars and 2. To expand the influence of a nation(s) beyond Earth.
