Dhaka, Oct. 19 -- The message of Durga Puja is not just for a single religious community but for all of humanity and all citizens have equal rights before the state, says BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

He made the remark while visiting the puja pavilion at Jagannath Hall on the Dhaka University campus on Monday and sending greetings on the holiday to Hindu devotees.

Rizvi said the main message of Durga Puja is to destroy untruth and establish truth and justice. The festival crosses communal boundaries and creates a sense of brotherhood and solidarity among people of different communities, he said.
