Dhaka, April 3 -- Two people, including a teenager, have been electrocuted while repairing a house in Gafargaon Upazila of Mymensingh.

The incident occurred around 3pm on Friday in Kharua Borail village, according to Gafargaon Police chief Atiqur Rahman.

The victims have been identified as 13-year-old Md Sakib, son of Shamsul Haque from Kharua Borail, and 60-year-old Abdul Jabbar, who was a resident of Mamdain village in Rasulpur Union.

Police and witnesses said the victims were working on an old structure when they accidentally came into contact with a live electric wire. Both died on the spot.

Another person was injured while attempting to rescue the duo.
