Dhaka, March 20 -- A 19-year-old man has been found dead near Shah Amanat Bridge in Chattogram.

On Friday, police recovered his body, which was stuck to a dredger anchored near the bridge.

He was identified as Md Shahriar Fahad, hailing from the district's Satkania Upazila. He worked at a clothing store in the port city.

Sadarghat River Police chief Mizanur Rahman told bdnews24.com, "After being notified by locals, we managed to contact his family from information in his wallet and mobile phone."

His body was sent to a local hospital for postmortem, the officer said, adding that they have launched an investigation into his death.
