Dhaka, March 10 -- A teacher at Dhaka's Tejgaon College has alleged that he was assaulted by several students after catching them adopting unfair means during an examination.

Sohel Rana, a physics teacher at the college, lodged the complaint at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on Monday.

The case names two students, Shariful Islam and Russell Mia, as suspects, along with six to seven unidentified individuals.

The incident occurred on Friday, during the 2023 final-year LLB examinations for Ideal Law College under the National University.

No arrests had been made as of Monday, said Jewel Rana, additional deputy commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Tejgaon Division.
