Dhaka, May 10 -- The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh will begin selling essential commodities through mobile trucks from Monday ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

The programme will continue for 10 days until May 21, according to a commerce ministry statement issued on Sunday.

Speaking to bdnews24.com, commerce ministry spokesperson Kamal Hossain said regular subsidised sales for TCB cardholders are already ongoing alongside the special Eid initiative.

Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir is scheduled to inaugurate the programme in Dhaka's Agargaon, the statement said.

Under the initiative, products will be sold through 720 mobile trucks across the country every day.
