Bangladesh, Aug. 29 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has issued seven directives to modernise Dhaka's traffic system and restore discipline in the transport sector.

He gave the directives at a meeting on traffic congestion at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon on Saturday, his Deputy Press Secretary Shahadat Hossain Shadhin said.

The meeting decided on modernising the traffic system and bringing discipline to the capital's transport sector, Shadhin said, including introducing electronic toll collection at expressway and flyover toll plazas and developing an app to make toll collection faster and more technology-driven.
