Bangladesh, July 22 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered the formation of a high-level committee to address the existing problems facing Bangladesh's textile industry.

The prime minister's Deputy Press Secretary Mostafa Zulfiquar Hasan shared the decision on Wednesday after a meeting between Tarique and a delegation from the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association at the Prime Minister's Office in the Secretariat.

"The current state of the country's textile industry, its export potential and the various challenges facing the sector were discussed during the meeting," Mostafa said.
