Dhaka, June 24 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arrived in Beijing from Dalian after attending the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Summer Davos conference in China.

Tarique and his wife Zubaida Rahman reached Beijing's Chaoyang Railway Station by high-speed train at 5:35pm local time on Wednesday.

From there, they travelled to the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, where they will stay during the visit.

Their arrival in Beijing marks the start of the prime minister's three-day state visit to China, undertaken at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

On Thursday afternoon, Tarique will receive an official welcome at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
