Dhaka, Sept. 26 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud have discussed ways to deepen ties between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, with trade, investment and manpower among the areas in focus.

The two met at the United Nations headquarters on Friday afternoon, according to Tarique's Assistant Press Secretary AKM Nazmul Haque.

"They discussed ways to further strengthen the historic and brotherly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia," Nazmul said.

"In particular, they exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, trade and investment, manpower, development cooperation and regional and international issues of mutual interest."
