Dhaka, April 16 -- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a special recognition scheme to honour all current and former international captains of the men's and women's national teams with a dedicated Captains Card.

In a media statement, the board said President Tamim Iqbal will formally hand over the special edition privilege cards at an event in Dhaka on Thursday evening.

The initiative is aimed at recognising players who have led Bangladesh at the international level across formats.

A former national captain said he received a phone call from Tamim a few days earlier inviting him to the programme.
