Dhaka, March 19 -- Police have recovered the bloodied body of a seven-year-old from a paddy field in a Haor in Sunamganj's Doarabazar.

The victim, Abdullah Al Mamun, was the eldest son of Mostaq Ahmed, an expatriate living in South Korea, from Gopalpur-Srinathpur village in Mannargaon Union.

His body was recovered from the paddy field in the Haor near his house on Wednesday evening, said Sheikh Md Mursalin, senior assistant superintendent of police of the Chhatak-Doarabazar Circle.

Mamun was a student in second grade at Al Haramain Academy in Ambari Bazar.

Police and locals say that on Wednesday afternoon, Mamun went fishing with his cousin Hafizur Rahman in the Haor next to his house. At one point, Hafizur left Mamun there and return...
