Dhaka, April 27 -- Students of Willes Little Flower School and College in Dhaka have staged protests and submitted a memorandum to the chief justice alleging that a teacher was "humiliated" after being called to the residence of a High Court judge.

The protests continued from Sunday morning until noon outside the school in Kakrail.

Later in the afternoon, a group of students submitted a memorandum to Supreme Court Registrar General Habibur Rahman Siddiquee, according to a court official.

The memorandum, signed by 22 students including several from class 10, alleged that Assistant Teacher Dayal Chandra Pal was called to the judge's residence following an incident in class on Apr 16 and was later "insulted and humiliated" by the judge an...
