Students block roads demanding education minister's resignation
Bangladesh, July 14 -- Students have blocked key roads in Dhaka, demanding the resignation of Education and Primary Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon.
The protesters alleged that authorities proceeded with the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations despite severe weather conditions and accused the advisor of referring to examinees as "farm chickens", a remark they described as insulting.
The demonstrations began around 11:45am on Tuesday, with students blocking roads at Science Lab and in front of the BNS Centre in Uttara.
