Dhaka, May 9 -- Gunfire from India's Border Security Force (BSF) at the Kasba border in Brahmanbaria has left two Bangladeshi nationals dead and several others injured in the incident.
The shooting took place in the early hours of Saturday at Gopinathpur's Pathariadwar border, said Nayek Subedar Md Moinuddin, commander of Chandidwar BGB camp.
The dead were identified as Morsalin, a second-year student at Gopinathpur Shah Alam Degree College identified with a single name, and 40-year-old Nabeer Hossain from Madhupur village.
Nabeer was first taken away by BGB members in critical condition but later died at hospital, according to relatives.
Relatives said both bodies were later at Agartala's GB Hospital.
