Bangladesh, Aug. 31 -- Bangladesh has recorded six more deaths from suspected measles cases in a 24-hour count.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said 94 people tested positive for measles during the period.

Five fatalities were reported in the Dhaka Division, while one death was reported in Barishal in the 24 hours from 8am on Sunday, the health directorate said in its bulletin on Monday.

The DGHS has been publishing data on measles since Mar 15.

According to its official counts, 99 people with confirmed measles cases have died nationwide to date while 874 with measles symptoms have also died over the period.

Dhaka Division recorded the highest number of deaths with symptoms at 393, followed by Sylhet with 149.
