Dhaka, Feb. 26 -- Six people injured in a gas filling station explosion in Cox's Bazar have been admitted to the burn unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
Associate Professor Dr Rafiq Uddin Ahmed of the burn unit told bdnews24.com on Thursday that the victims suffered 20 to 90 percent burns, adding that their conditions are "critical" due to respiratory complications.
The explosion occurred on Wednesday night at a newly built gas station at Cox's Bazar's Kolatoli, triggering a fire that left 15 people burnt. The six were the most critically burnt.
Those admitted to the hospital are Abdur Rahim, 32, Abu Taher, 40, Abul Kawser, 27, Sakib, 30, Motaher, 45, and Siraj, 30 -- the last three identified by single names.
