Dhaka, March 17 -- Shushashoner Jonno Nagorik (SHUJAN) has called for constitutional amendments in line with the July Charter to restore an effective and functional non-party caretaker government system.

SHUJAN Secretary Badiul Alam Majumdar made the remarks at a media briefing at the Metropolitan Chamber building on Tuesday.

"We are satisfied with the court's ruling on the caretaker issue," Majumdar said.

But the July Charter must guide the restoration of the caretaker government system, he said.
