Dhaka, April 22 -- Additional Secretary Shahina Ferdousi has been appointed director general of the Directorate of Primary Education.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Wednesday placing her under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education for the new assignment.

Before this appointment, Shahina served as the executive director of the Bangladesh Dairy Development Board.

She had also previously been ordered to move to the Ministry of Textiles and Jute.

In a separate notification, the incumbent DPE director general Abu Noor Md Shamsuzzaman has been transferred to the public administration ministry as an additional secretary.
