Seven more children die of measles in Bangladesh, daily infections rise by 155
Dhaka, May 14 -- Measles infections continue to rise across Bangladesh as seven more children have died from the disease and related symptoms in the past 24 hours.
On Thursday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said one of the deaths was of a confirmed measles case, while six others were recorded as stemming from related symptoms.
During the same 24-hour period, 155 new measles cases were confirmed nationwide, taking the total number of detected cases to 7,305.
Since Mar 15, the total death toll from confirmed measles cases has reached 70, while 369 others have died with symptoms consistent with the disease.
