Dhaka, April 13 -- Another two children have died after being diagnosed with measles, while another five showing symptoms of the highly contagious disease passed away as well.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported the deaths in the 24 hours to 8am on Monday in its daily measles bulletin.

The death toll from confirmed measles hit 30 onwards from Mar 15, it said.

Among the confirmed fatalities, Dhaka recorded the highest with 17 deaths, followed by Barishal with five.

Three deaths each were recorded in Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions, while two died in Mymensingh.

No confirmed measles deaths have been reported in Khulna.
