Scrapping of Ad-din Hospital's licence challenged at High Court
Dhaka, June 15 -- A lawyer has filed a petition at the High Court challenging the decision to cancel the licence of Ad-din Medical College Hospital in Dhaka's Moghbazar over the death of six newborns at the facility.
Senior Advocate Yunus Ali Akhand filed the petition in the public interest on Monday.
Akhand told bdnews24.com that the bench of Justice Razik-Al-Jalil and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury will hear the petition.
The government scrapped the hospital's licence on Jun 11 following the newborns' deaths.
In its decision, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said that the hospital has 30 days to challenge the cancellation.
