Dhaka, March 25 -- Daffodil Foundation has organised a scholarship get-together and reunion with scholarship recipients and alumni at Daffodil International School in Chandpur's Baburhat, highlighting a zakat-based programme that has supported 279 students over the past 16 years.

The day-long event was held on Mar 22, and included Quran recitation, speeches, student competitions, motivational sessions, prize distribution and an open discussion, the foundation said in a statement.

Students, alumni, teachers, guardians, invited guests and journalists attended the programme, which focused on the achievements, experiences and future prospects of the initiative.
