Dhaka, March 13 -- Scattered rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms are likely to occur across various parts of Bangladesh until Tuesday, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Meteorologist Omar Faruq told bdnews24.com on Friday that the country has entered the season of nor'wester, which, in other words, is a season of unpredictable localised storms.
"Scattered rain is likely almost every day through the end of March," Faruq said. "Thunderstorms and gusty winds are also expected in places."
The forecaster's 24-hour Friday bulletin issued in the morning said a seasonal low-pressure system is positioned over the south Bay of Bengal, with an extension reaching West Bengal and surrounding areas.
