Dhaka, April 3 -- The body of SM Tareq, a Bangladeshi expatriate worker killed in a missile attack in Bahrain amid the ongoing Middle East conflict, has arrived in Dhaka.

The remains were flown in from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, via a Gulf Air flight, according to the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment.

Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Choudhury, State Minister Md Nurul Hoque, and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam were present at Shahjalal International Airport to receive the coffin.

Tareq, a resident of Azimpur Union in Chattogram's Sandwip Upazila, had been working in Bahrain for 27 years.
